January Math Stations

I am pretty sure I am still in denial that it is January...hence my lateness with January Math Stations. But, seeing as how it is like 15 degrees outside, I'm pretty sure January is here now.

Have you seen this awesome post at Lil' Country Kindergarten?
Check it out - there are some FANTASTIC math freebies available. She made completing my planning guide much easier! Thank you Marlana!

  5. Arianne, I just found your blog and I love it! I don't know if you're still doing penguins in your centers next week, but the book "Five Little Penguins Slipping On The Ice" by Steve Metzger is really cool because it's sung to the same tune as "Five Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed". My kids just love it. "Ten Little Penguins" by Jane Walker is a nice rhyming book that counts backwards from 10. I don't know if you like sequencing songs, but Jack Hartmann has the cutest video on his web site of students doing the "Penguin Dance Chant." My students want to do it all the time! It's such a great memory builder. If you have time and would like some wonderful freebies, come by and check out my blog.
