Shut the front door. Is it bad that I haven't written a post in for.ever.? I almost didn't remember how to get to Blogger. Okay, it wasn't that bad...but it's been too long.
Hopefully your school year has started out well. The first few weeks of Kindergarten are always a test of patience and flexibility. Rewarding but definitely exhausting (anyone that's taught Kinder knows exactly what this is like).
We are trying to establish a routine and have been fairly successful...so now it's time to get down to business. We have some serious learning to do...starting with our colors, letters and numbers. I love games - and really just about anything can be made into a game.
***True story...to practice putting lids onto our highlighters correctly, we play the "give a little shake" game. Kinders love putting the lids on (so they don't get lost) and shaking that highlighter up a storm to make sure the lid is on securely. Don't judge...it works I promise!***
Back to games...I've been working on my "Find It Fast" games for September. We played "Find the Colorful Cat" today - with numbers. Check it out here! 3 games for $3.00 - a great way to review as a whole group or have students play it in small groups.
For being a loyal reader...grab your Find It Fast Freebie here. Practice identifying colors with your kiddos!
Enjoy!

In Like a Lion...
Um, where did February go? Not gonna lie. It is the shortest month but seems like the busiest, craziest and most stressful month of the year.
So, welcome March. I'm ready for Spring, warmer weather, and sweet tea. Eh, I drink sweet tea all year long, but still. Ha.
Just wanted to post real quick to let y'all know that March math journals are ready to go. Go grab your copy now! Thanks peeps!

Did you load up your cart during the big sale today at TPT? Still have a few hours left. My February Math Stations are up too - if you want to take a peek.

Announcing...KinderLand!
Hi friends! Big announcement today.
Remember when I mentioned Google+ in my last post?
Many of you may not have heard of Kinderland - it's basically a collective group of kindergarten/early primary teachers-bloggers who strive to learn and grow with one another. We also all have blogs that you may know. :0) Another extension of this group is a Pinterest board called Kinderland Collaborative. You may have seen it on Pinterest lately!
So, are you ready for the news?!?!?!
The original Kinderland members have started a new Google + community that you are definitely going to want to be apart of. We have this new Kinderland Collaborative Community available to be a meeting place between ALL kinder teachers ......bloggers and non-bloggers alike. If you are interested in all things kinder - you will want to join. It's a place to get to know other kinder teachers from around the world, get to know your favorite kinder bloggers (and learn about new ones)......ask questions, bounce ideas off other kinder teachers. The sky is the limit.....when we all work together! You will even see there is a place to link to freebies (all in one place) and we will have giveaways from time to time also!
I hope to see all of you over there!
Why Google+?
Well, it's like Facebook, but better. The layout is nicer, allows us to create threads for different topics. We can even have hangouts (where you can video/audio chat with other kinder teachers and bloggers).
Click the button below to join!!!

Happy Happy New Year!
Ahhh, Christmas Break. I am enjoying the last few days of mine. I had lots of plans for the classroom, but sometimes spending time with family is much more important. :) Hope you had a fabulous holiday season and are recharged and ready for the remainder of the year with the rest of your kiddies.
Lots of things going on that I wanted to share with you.
If you haven't visited, check it out! This blog is in the beginning stages,
but it will feature some AMAZING teachers posting tips, ideas and freebies.
Watch for a chance to be a guest blogger!
Pinteresting News:
Click on the pic above to follow the KinderLand Pinterest Board.
So much news! Watch for a big announcement coming in the next few weeks.

First up: January Math Journals!
I can't tell you how much I appreciate the feedback and comments about the journals. If you download from TPT, try to leave feedback (for any freebie you download - not just mine). It is nice to read encouraging words and know that the work put into a classroom item is appreciated.
